As our world is changing, God's standard is always FAITHFULNESS.
Here is one of my post from 10 years ago.

I believe in success and accomplishment, but sometimes, all we can do is be faithful. We cannot determine the outcome of an action when there are uncontrollable variables to deal with, but we can determine whether we will be faithful or not. The Bible says it is required of us to be faithful. Even when you can do nothing to improve your own situation, be faithful. Faithfulness is success in the eyes of God. Remember Job.

God's word says it is futile and hypocritical for folks to fault others for the same sins in their own lives. 

Romans 2:1-3
(1)  Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
(2)  But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
(3)  And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

In these "days or wild confusion," I would suggest you find a strong Bible preacher, who calls people to righteousness, then align yourself with that ministry. Even if you need to move across the city or across the country.

Get your children (from birth to adulthood) under life changing message of salvation from all sin. Involve them with the message, ministry and mission of that church. Immerse them completely in Christian truth and love. TRUTH AND LOVE. Other things, such as schooling, sports, music, (even when these other things are related to Christian message) are far less important. Don't throw them to the destructive influences of humanistic schooling, socialization, sports, music, philosophy.

Making your child more worldly does not mean they are well "rounded." The only essential development is spiritual development. Actually, anything that siphons off from spiritual development is destructive. The truly spiritual person is the one who is well founded and built up in Biblical, spiritual life. This will include truth and love and they will excel in the other arenas of life.
