Concerning money, John Wesley said,
1. Earn all you can.
2. Save all you can.
3. Give all you can.

Good advice. Remember, we are not an island to ourselves. We are not only expected to care for our own needs, we are expected to help others in need and we are expected to give to the work of the gospel of Christ (servants, ministry, facilities, programs, projects).

I occasionally see friends who scoffed me for my radical views in the 1980s.

Finally, a few are seeing some of what I said.

If EVERYthing is sovereignly, unilaterally, unconditionally decreed, why vote, since elections and administrations are scams and shams.

Also, if your salvation (election) is settled by sovereign, unilateral, unconditional decree, then why must we make our calling and election sure.

God knows the end result of our calling and election, but we are the ones who make it sure, stead, secure, which is accomplished by continued faith and practice.

Strangely, some of the people who deny that we have any choice in our salvation, election, will say that we make it sure, secure, steadfast IN OUR OWN MINDS, by our good works, by our holy living. Of course this is also a contradiction in their thinking.

My main point here is that a supposed salvation, election by divine decree cannot be made sure by anything we do.

The Bible, on the other hand, God does require that true salvation, true election will be evidenced with holy living and good works (as the seal of our salvation, 2 Timothy 2:19).
