01/08/22 THOUGHTS I STARTED TO SHARE THIS MORNING
(and then I heard the Martins sing, The Promise)

My Thoughts
The wonderful and Biblical truth of spiritual victory in this life is that we can love the Lord with our whole heart and we can faithfully walk in His light and keep His commands and do that which is pleasing in His sight.
THE BIBLES SAYS THESE THINGS, the devil disputes these things.

I DON'T TEACH...
I don't teach that there is no devil to contend with.
I don't teach that there is no testing, tempting or trials in this life.
I don't teach that there are no heartaches, losses, disappointments, failures.
I don't teach that we will not be persecuted, despised and rejected.
I don't teach that the world will love us and treat us kindly.
I don't teach that this life is an amusement park for Christians.
I don't teach that we will not suffer sickness, poverty or death.
I don't teach SELF SERVING RELIGION.

I DO TEACH...
God works all things together for the believer's good
God is greater than any problem we face.
God will never leave nor forsake His children.
Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.
God's grace makes us more than conquerors over sin and death.
Jesus saves everyone who believes on Him and calls on Him in faith.
Jesus is the Savior of all those who obey Him.
God enables me to trust Him fully, to follow Him fully, to obey Him fully.
God conforms us to the image of His Son.

There is much more that God does to enable us live triumphantly and to overcome all of our troubles and temptations, and I try to teach, preach, counsel, testify to the victory that is found in the Blood of Christ, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit of God.
I do warn and teach about the enemy of our soul, because we are able to overcome him.
I do acknowledge that this world is not our home, but I also point out that we are only passing through.
I do tell folks about the struggles of this life, but I remind them that God uses our problems to perfect us.

I REFUSE...
I refuse to give glory to Satan for his works of destruction.
I refuse to say Satan and sin is greater than the God of the universe, than the God of my salvation.
I refuse to let darkness hide God's light.
I refuse to let misery rob me of God's joy.
I refuse to let chaos upend God's peace.
I refuse to let the light afflictions of this present world deny me of the eternal weight of glory that will be revealed.
I refuse to let my demeanor, my witness, my God directed steps of life to be used as an attack, criticism, indictment of God.
