01/10/22 HE BUTCHERS, BLASPHEMES AND BERATES

I just watched John MacArthur butcher history, blaspheme Scripture and berate godly people. Nothing new and it is consistent with other heroes of sinning religion. A few of those folks are deliberate deceivers, misleading multitudes of believers.

 

If you wonder why I am so adamant about MacArthur's attacks and misrepresentation, it is because I am that way about anyone who misrepresents God's word, God's plan of salvation, God's people who are humbly seeking to follow Jesus according to His word. It is not just a matter of "choosing up teams" for doctrinal debate; it is about someone mocking, demeaning, blaspheming eternal truth and leading people away from God's saving grace.

 

Yes, I love MacArthur and other false teachers, but I do not support his resistance and rejection of God's revelation.

 

Of course, if the only view you have of the Wesleyan and Arminian position is that which is invented by Calvinists and Reformed teachers, then you cannot know the truth.

Also if you pick and claim that the bad apples who say they align with the doctrine you are attacking are a proof that the doctrine itself is not sound, then you pretend to be insightful, when in fact you are being inciteful.

If you choose to confuse the terminology and choose to use hot button words rather than accurate language, then you will prejudice the imprudent and unlearned listener.

 

As Paul said,

2 Corinthians 4:1-7

1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
