As born again believers, we are only cleansed from sin...

While we are in Christ,

While we are walking in the light,

While we are trusting His blood,

While we are walking in the Spirit,

(at least, this is what the Bible indicates).

 

BTW, all of these conditions are being met concurrently and are interrelated. None of these conditions are met without the grace, the enablement of God's love, through the atoning work of Christ, and the efficacious work of the Holy Spirit.

 

God's salvific work begins in us before we are born and continues into our infancy; is applied through personal faith, repentance, confession and submission at the time of our conversion and continues throughout the life of faith.

If your testimony and your spiritual condition are not in agreement, you need to believe, confess, repent and follow Jesus, no matter what someone has told you.

I am planning to begin a 13 week Bible and Ministry Training Class on Wednesday nights at The Net House in Williston.

 

Entitled: An Introduction To Basic Christianity In Genesis.

 

This will include Bible, Theology, Church History.

 

I had originally thought about this as a study for a specific group, but the more I have thought about it, the more I see the need for the entire body.

 

I realize that my older parishioners have heard portions before, but I am including collateral material and I am presenting it in a different format. It is also true that we all need to be reminded of basic truths as well as led into new enlightenment.

 

The material will not be elementary, however, I will teach deeper and more advanced truths in such a way that new folks and children can understand and benefit from the information.

 

Tentatively I plan to start this Class on Wednesday, April 20th.

Some other folks focus on the Practical to the exclusion of the Doctrinal.

As priests of God, our lives should be adorned with Bells (verbal witness) and Pomegranates (experiential witness) of salvation.

Our walk with God, our growth in Christ should be based in knowing God's word, and showing God's power.

Our belief must be based in Divine, inerrant revelation.

Our experience must be produced by a vital, personal relationship with God's Spirit.

Doctrine without Experience is head religion.

Experience without Doctrine is emotional and behavioral.

Our salvation must be a combination of the Scriptural and the Personal.

If God unilaterally, unconditionally elects folks to salvation, then sin cannot separate them from God.

BUT,

If God REQUIRES obedient faith, confession, repentance, then sin does separate us from God.

 

The devil wants you to sin, to disobey God, to disbelieve God's word.

The devil does not want you to confess Christ as Savior or confess your sins.

The devil does not want you to repent (turn from) of your sins.

The devil wants you to walk in darkness, to be dead to God, to walk in the flesh, to walk in the lie.

The devil instigates these damnable actions.

The devil wants you lost and in hell.

 

God wants you to NOT SIN, but rather to obey God, to believe God's word, to confess your sins to Christ and confess Christ as your Savior, to repent of your sins.

God wants you to walk in the light, to walk in newness of life, to walk in the Spirit, to walk in truth.

God wills, God calls, and God enables the faithful to trust Him, keep His commands, do that which is pleasing in His sight, follow fully, live righteously, godly and blamelessly.

God wants you saved and in heaven.

God can save you from sin, death and hell.

God will save you to the uttermost if you come to Him by Jesus.

While we have any opportunity to do good, we need to use our vote, if we can. But don't vote race, don't vote Party, don't vote against the Holy Bible, against Freedom of Religion.

I don't even understand "Christians" voting along the lines of racism or reverse racism.

I don't even understand "Christians" voting along Party lines, especially when the Party is overtly, vindictively opposed to Biblical, moral and American values.

 

I have readily called out black and white politicians for their political actions, which undermine our Christian and ethical heritage.

Shame on anyone, especially those who call themselves "Christian," who vote for or against color or race or vote for political platforms that are openly opposed to America's religious, cultural and ethical heritage.

 

If you cannot vote for anyone because of your conscience, then don't vote. But don't sit in judgment of those who are doing the best they know to do, by standing for Biblical, ethical and social righteousness.

 

There is coming a time when Christians will not be able to vote, work, speak, worship. Until then, be faithful to Jesus, otherwise when the real crunch comes, you won't be able to stand against the flood of opposition.

Russelites, aka Watch Tower (who falsely claim to be "Jehovah's Witnesses") are a pitifully confused people.

 

The first clue is that they claim to be Jehovah's Witnesses, while denying that Jesus is Jehovah.

 

We know Jesus is Jehovah because there are traits, names and titles belonging only to Jehovah, which are Divinely ascribed to Jesus.

In Isaiah, Jehovah (the name of God as revealed to Moses) appointed His people, Israel, to be His witnesses. This is where the Russelites pirated the name for their unChristian religion.

 

In Old Testament times, Israel was the chosen nation of God, and they, corporately, were in covenant relationship with Him. God still has a plan for Israel, but God has no nation today. God's people, corporately, today is the Church. This includes Jews and Gentiles, who have a living faith in the living Savior God, Jesus Christ and His word, the Holy Bible.

 

Jesus claimed Divine traits, claimed Divine identity, claimed Divine titles. Jesus is referred to as "God," as "the Son of God," as "God with us," as "Savior," as "King of Kings," as "the First and the Last, and the Beginning and the End," as "the Great God and Savior", as "the Mighty God,: as "the Almighty." Jesus told His disciples that they would be His "witnesses." This is the charge given to all those who believe the Bible, in the God of the Bible.

The Watch Tower movement is not a Bible believing group therefore they are, "Jehovah's Witnesses," in name only. They are pretenders to the faith, they are identity thieves, they have taken the name of God in vain.

 

Watch Tower people go from house to house at this time of year, inviting people to a service "Commemorating the Death of Jesus." They claim to believe in the resurrection of Jesus, but in fact they deny that He rose from the dead physically. They deny that Jesus raised Himself, while claiming to believe in the resurrection, which they do not believe.

 

The confusion goes on and on. Don't be suckered into the false doctrines of the Watch Tower, the false Jehovah's Witnesses. Here is a photo of a pamphlet they distribute at this time of year.

Jesus is God (John 1:1-4 among many places).
Jesus is the One Who raised Himself from the dead because He is God (John. 2:18-22).
Jesus was raised from the dead physically, He was not just a disembodied spirit, as the JWs claim (Luke 24:36-49).

One of my recurrent themes is that children, as recipients of God's grace (prenatal and early childhood), are not only sensitive to God's Spirit and influence, but receptive to His call.

 

This is why a child should be evangelized (told the gospel) early. The probability of a child being saved is greater at an early age.

 

Many children have heard the gospel, 

believed on Christ as Savior and grown in the Lord as they matured. If they continue to hear, learn and walk in the light of God's word, they may become mature, committed and productive believers. Sometimes the child moves away from a faith relationship with Christ, either because he or she is not provided with light and encouragement, or because he or she is drawn away by worldly desire or deterred by hardships.

 

Deformed religion boldly and fallaciously claims that the child was never saved. They call it a "fake" salvation. It is true that there are people, of all ages, who are either deceived into an intellectual or emotional commitment or they deliberately pretend to be saved.

 

However, there are some people who actually believe on Christ and begin to follow Him, but then actually fall away. Don't believe Deformed Theology, when it claims that children who get saved and then fall away, were not actually saved.

 

Each person makes his or her own choice concerning salvation. If a child does make an early commitment to Christ, and that child follows Jesus and allows the work of God to take place in his or her life, then he or she will not only maintain a child like faith, but will remain tender, kind, loving, obedient as they get older.

 

A loving and nurturing local church, home environment is essential to successful Christian development, just like a clean, healthy, providing experience is needed for the natural, the physical growth and development of a child. Give your children the benefit of a godly home and a faithful church life. Their life depends on it.

 

It is possible for anyone to turn from God at any point. But a person who is brought up in the nurture and admonition of a faithful and Biblical body of believers is more likely to survive and thrive in a Christian life.

Sadly, few believers know the beauty of a Spirit filled life in a Spirit Filled church.

I don't know that anyone actually comprehends the mystical and miraculous impact that a local church ministry communicates from one believer to other believers. It is God's design, it is God's method.

We need to listen with our hearts to the voice of God through the sanctified (purified and Spirit filled) singer, teacher, preacher, prayer, exhorter.

 

Power is found in their words.

 

Healing is received through their message.

 

Wisdom is transmitted through their counsel.

 

Compassion is stirred through their pleading.

 

We need to communicate with more than the mouth, we need to cry out from our hearts.

We need to hear with more than our ears, we need to hear with our hearts.

As a messenger of God,

We must rid ourselves of all spiritual, moral distraction.

We must let the voice of God be clearly heard through us.

We need to encourage others in their service to God.

 

Friends and cohorts in every field of endeavor cheer their team members on to victory.

Sometimes it is loud and seems to be silly to the watching world, and sometimes it is even obnoxious to those who are not part of the endeavor.

But people reach their fullest potential when they are supported and encouraged.

God made us that way.

 

Therefore, it should should be the norm to see and hear believers encouraging, exhorting, edifying one another in the spiritual realm.

 

I am not talking about fleshly excitement, I am talking about the local body of Christ working together in the Spirit for the glory of God.

The Deformed movement verbally endorses the authority of the Bible, but then it denies and defies clear Biblical truths.

The Crazymatic movement verbally professes the leading and authority of the Holy Spirit, but then follows spirits that impersonate the Holy Spirit and lead away from God and His word.

 

The Deformed movement is committed to a very legalistic, letter-istic approach to the Bible and lacks the interpersonal, intimate, living, and loving relationship, leading and empowering of God's Holy Spirit.

The Crazymatic movement is committed to spiritual experiences, actions, and relationships, but rejects the limitations set by God and His word.

Carnal Christians (at best) run to Romans 7:14-23 as if it is a City of Refuge, thinking they can hide behind Paul's comment on inner conflict and failure. The fact is, Paul tore away the excuse of Romans 7:14-23 when he said that Christ saves from double minded salvation in Romans 7:24-8:14. People who hide in Romans 7:14-23 are like little children who cup their hands over their eyes and say, "You can't see me now."

Then, after Paul declared God's deliverance from sinful nature in Romans 7, he continued (Romans 8:1-16) to confirm the life of victory over all sin (which he introduced in Romans 6).

"THAT YE MAY," is a phrase found in the books of Moses, books of History, books of Poetry, books of Major and Minor Prophets in Old Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Paul, James and Peter in the New Testament. I want to write an article on this sometime in the future. However, this morning I was moved by the following passages. I hope you read and appropriate these truths to your life.

Paul's Prayer for the Church at Ephesus (and God's will for us).

Double ** designates the beginning of this thought, and single * marks the specifics of this prayer.

I also put breaks to highlight expanding layers of truth.

Ephesians 1:15-23

(15) Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

(16) Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

(17) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, **may give unto you *the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

(18) *The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; *that ye may know *what is the hope of his calling, and *what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

(19) And *what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

(20) Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

(21) Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

(22) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

(23) Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
