10/06/22 IT IS FOR BELIEVERS

The gathering of believers is for the purpose of glorifying God and edifying believers and sometimes evangelizing the lost.

"Church" services (worship, praise, Bible study, prayer, fellowship) are for believers. Evangelizing may take place or might even be the reason for special meeting, but evangelizing should primarily be taking place outside of the gathered meetings of believers. The work of evangelizing is a daily activity for believers in the normal affairs of life. Evangelistic preaching and teaching supports and advances the local church people in their outreach ministries. 

In depth studies are designed for sincere believers and earnest seekers. But, since it is difficult to get non believers to dedicate time, attention and energy into God's word, the gathered meetings should primarily be for the purpose of equipping the believers, so that they might live and teach the spiritual life, as a ministry to the lost and to interested seekers. Special classes and meetings should be available for believers and non believers, relative to their needs. This is true for in-person meetings and also for online meetings.

Remember, Paul told Timothy to train the men in his congregation, so that they might reach and disciple others, who should be able to reach and disciple others.

2 Timothy 2:1-2
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.
