11/24/22 GOD AND HIS MESSAGE ARE THE FOCUS

The overseer stood before his fellow believers and read the latest circular letter from Paul. Some were moved to tears, others were moved to prayer, others were moved to confession, others were moved to songs of praise, others were moved to steps of reconciliation, others were moved to deeper commitment and some surrendered to carry the gospel to the unreached.

A different group gathered into a self absorbed pity party and complained about having to listen to someone read yet another report from an absent writer. They even said it would have been more moving had there been relics or icons in the presentation.

I prefer totally live, in person meetings. But I am seeking the Master, His Love and His Truth, and I am looking to connect the best way I can with His faithful people.

When a person is use to being entertained or spoon fed, there is still the opportunity for them to experience Divine encounter, even if it is through an internet medium.

I have been lifted to the heights of splendor in large crowds, small groups, sitting alone, through in-person services, recorded music, radio feeds, videos, and yes, ZOOM, FB LIVE.

But the potential for reaching those in exotic locations, those behind prison walls, those waiting on their death bed or the millions of shut-ins at home, along with those who live where there is no local ministry, is facilitated by the very thing that some folks consider to be cold, impersonal, empty.
